A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hi, I am a BMS Engineer with over 10 years experience in the industry, I mainly enjoy the design and software side of the job but I do like to get my hands dirty every now and then.
Before accepting the job as a apprentice controls engineer I had no idea that this trade existed. I knew about the traditional apprenticeships for electricians and plumbers but I had no idea what a controls engineer was. I had never imagined that I would take up a trade, I finished school and went to college with the plan of one day going to university. I had not long left college when the chance for a full time position came up so I went for the interview and have never looked back.
As time has gone on I have often found myself puzzled at what appears to be a lack of available engineers throughout the entire industry. Every one that you speak to seems to be looking for another engineer that just isn’t out there. It seems that the BMS Engineer really is in high demand.
I have started this blog as a information tool for people at all levels, whether that be experienced engineers who can add valuable insights, tradesmen in related fields, or want to be engineers looking for some more information; hopefully projectBMS can be of assistance.
I have worked in all areas of the BMS project; whether it be sales, design, project management or commissioning and handover / demonstration.
